Let us know your campers names

If you have booked camping places you must provide campers' names, via the CAMPERS REGISTRATION FORM in the Tournament menu. NB You MUST be logged in to view the campers registration form in the menu. If you are not logged in you will not be able to view the form. You will also need your invoice number and log-in email address to hand.

Camping places must be cancelled at least 14 days before the tournament to receive a full refund. After this camping fees are non-refundable.

Weekend Car Parking is £10 and payable on the gate this year (no online car parking available)

Fires and barbecues are not permitted and Bristol City Council has prohibited the use of bottled gas and cooking on the tournament site.


Campers will be able to access the ground from 3.00pm Friday evening. The entrance gate will be CLOSED at 11.30pm.

Start Times

Games start at 9.30am both Sat and Sun. Teams need to register their team at the Captains meeting at 8.30am BOTH days. 

Tournament Control

Registration, enquiries and any problems should be directed to the tournament office where tournament staff will be on hand from Friday 3pm. Security guards will be on duty at night - please contact them in any cases of difficulty.

Points of Information and Court Managers

There will be notice boards around the tournament site with the latest news, taxi numbers, general information etc. Also on hand are court managers. They are in radio control with the office - please speak to them if you need to contact us.                                                                                                            

First Aid

First Aiders will be on hand – they are located near the main entrance to the tournament.

Sports Therapist

On hand with sporting injury advice, injury treatment, taping and massage (charges will apply)

Bill Daniels 'Spirit of the Tournament' Award

This award is in memory of Bill Daniels, a great ambassador of the sport of volleyball and an old friend of the Whitefield Tournament. Nominations are invited for players, officials, team or person that displays a positive, sporting and 'fun' attitude towards volleyball. Remember the emphasis is on spirit and not ability. Nomination forms are in your team pack and must be made by 12 noon on Sunday to the Tournament Office.

Presentation of trophies

The presentation of trophies will be made  after the Division 1 Finals on Sunday (approx 4.30 pm). We would be pleased to see as many people as possible join us for the Women’s, Men’s and Mixed Finals so as to create a good atmosphere.

Drinking Water

Drinking water is available outside the shower/toilet block.


The Sports Centre facilities, (toilets and showers) are open 24 hours. There are also showers 'across the road' and left, near the mini-roundabout (approx 2 minute walking distance)


There will be a range of refreshments on sale in the Clubhouse. This includes breakfast, lunch and light snacks. Depending on demand there may be evening meals (BBQ) available also. The bar will also be open in the Clubhouse with extended opening times.

Free Children's Entertainment

A bouncy castle is open to children under 12 years on Sat (11 – 4) and Sunday (11 – 3). A face painter will also be available to paint children's faces on Sat and Sun.

Kids come and try it coaching sessions

Free volleyball coaching and fun sessions will be available for children over the weekend. Coaching times are to be confirmed. Please enquire at the Tournament Office on the weekend.

Tournament Disco

Saturday night disco in the Club house with a full bar – tickets £2, available from the Tournament Office and on the door. This is a popular event and with a maximum limit if 200 – first come ,first served!


Tournament t-shirts will be on sale.


Your very own volleyball specialist and sports retailer, Sportset will be present with their stand of volleyball equipment, clothing, footwear, etc.

Camping Information

The tournament camp site is a football and rugby pitch so it is ESSENTIAL that we do not leave anything on the pitch that may injure players. Litter bins are provided – please use them. Be extra vigilant, and check the grass for ALL smaller objects such as tent pegs, bottle tops, ring pulls, coins, glass etc. PLEASE do your bit to help and bin ALL litter throughout the weekend and especially when you leave.

  • Campers will be able to access the ground from 3.00pm Friday evening. The entrance gate will be CLOSED at 11.30pm.
  • Please ensure you have supplied a correct list of all campers’ names. Names will be checked on the entrance gate. Please ensure your players know the name of their team.
  • On arrival, campers will receive a wrist pass which must be worn all weekend. 
  • Drinking water, toilets and washing facilities are available at all hours.
  • Fires and barbecues are not permitted and Bristol City Council has prohibited the use of bottled gas and cooking on the tournament site.
  • When positioning your tents please ensure there is a minimum of 3 metres clear space between tents.
  • To avoid upsetting local residents and other campers, there must be no noise in the campsite after 12.00pm. Teams who infringe this ruling will be asked to leave the tournament first thing the following morning.
  • Sleeping in cars/vans that are not purpose built for sleeping is NOT PERMITTED.
  • Camping places must be cancelled at least 14 days before the tournament to receive a full refund. After this camping fees are non-refundable.
  • Sorry, but dogs are not allowed anywhere on the tournament site.
